Today we watched some videos in class. Tonight for homework students are to choose a video and write why their chosen video should be watched by others. Writing can be turned in electronically on the blog, via email, or on paper. This assignment is to prepare them for writing a book review. Video recommendation should include the following:

DeleteI think kids should like this because if you like teamwork and drummes you should watch it. It takes 25 drummers and some color guards to create awesome top secret drum tune. The drums all light up, theres fire, the drum players all where the same unifore and stay focsed. There are amazing hand moatins and movment. They have perfect order. I bet they practice a lot. It looks like the drummers are in war and they look like soilders. They will throw drum sticks and flags! I recomend this video to ages 8 to 1000 years old! It will blow your mind!! I am sure you will be amazed!:)

I THINK BOTTLE BECAUSE THERE ARE TWO WORLDS ONE IN A COLD PLACE AND ONE IN A HOT PLACE AND THEY KEEP SENDING STUFF BACK AND FORTH AND WHEN THE GUY SENDS PICTURES THAT THEY SHOULD MEET THEY DO BUT THEY DIE. ReplyDeleteI would recomned top secret drums because its cool.Also if you like music it is the best. Then if you like light shows you would think its amazing. I love the sound and I love the light on the drums and on the flag. I also like when the people pass one of their sticks and catch one and I like when did the same with the flags.

I would recommend everyone to see the video Ode to Joy in Spain. It was a normal day in Spain, but one coin in a hat changed all of that. A soft sound rises into the noisy city and then a moment of silence and right away everyone new the song...Ode to Joy. Once the song ended, the blast of applause was so great it could knock you off your feet.

DeleteIf you LOVE legos and cool beats then this video is for you! It all starts out with one lego guy hitting a drum plate. Next, two more lego guy chime in on their own drum plate, each making a different noise. Then, a bunch of lego guys come in. When every lego guy is tapping their silver plate or xylophone and other cool things. If you think about it, it sounds like a wordless song. I recommend this video for anyone who wants to make their own kind fun cool music and for people who just want to be creative with their legos.

DeleteIf you like clasical music and suprises the viral video out of Sabadell, Spain, a street musician plays Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. It starts with one guy. Then more musicians and singers come. Lastly the crowd starts singing. I recomend this video people who like music.

Sandmen and Snowmen in real life? In this 5 minute long movie, a bottle is being passed though out a sandman and a snowwoman. It starts off just pieces for thier landscape, but gets more and more exiting as the things they give turn into their bodyparts. Near the end, the Sandman sends 3 or 4 drawings sayning he wants to meet the Snowwomen to her. They then go into the water to try to get by each other, but dissolve into nothingness. If you are curios about what it would be like if there were real, then watch this video! It's funny, but at the end, kinda questioning. You never know if they ever met. What do you think? Would you do a sequal?

ReplyDeleteClose your eyes and listen to the ocean waves as it brings two friends together in this enchanting love story. This clip shows that even the ocean can’t keep these two friends a part. I think that you will like this because of how the two friends communicated through one bottle. I also think you will like how they used stop motion video in the clip. In the end, I liked how they developed personalities by giving each other clothes, eyes, ears, and hair. I really think you should watch this video you will probably like it.

I recommend the video "Bottle". I recommend this video because I find it very funny. It is by Kirsten Lepore. I suggest people 7 and up watch this (it has no words) so younger kids might not understand. It takes place in the beach and the mountains. First, at the beach there is a sandman. He finds a bottle, opens it, puts sand in it and sends it off to the ocean again. Then a snow-woman finds it, opens it, puts pine needles in it and sends it back to the sea. They keep sending stuff back and forth to each other again and again. Finally, the sandman writes a few notes with drawings to the snow-woman. It shows that the sandman wants to meet the snow-woman. Towards the end, they go into the ocean and are about to meet each other when they start fading. Suddenly they are gone. And they never get to meet. It might be sad at the end. But it's still really funny. You shoudl watch it sometime.

Do you love sandy beaches and snow? Then you will love this short stop animation movie called Bottle. In Bottle, a sand guy comes right out of the sand and finds a bottle with snow in it. So, he dumps it out and puts sand in the bottle and sends it to him. After that the snow guy sends him branches in return. Then, they send a bunch more things to wear. Finally, the sand guy draws a picture of him and the snow guy meeting, and he sends it to the snow guy. So,they meet in the ocean and melt into the ocean floor. My favorite part part was when they both walk into the ocean at the same time, because it can get people on the edge of their seats! I would recommend this to people of all ages because this is something everybody can enjoy! If you want to know more watch Bottle and find out! -Margo

DeleteDo you like drums and banging sounds? If so you should watch the video titled ''Top Secret''. In this video banging and loud sounds strike you ears as you watch the amazing drummers throws sticks, shout words, switch sticks with the person next to them. It's all about timing and teamwork in the video. I like this video because it shows teamwork and motivation to get to be that good at drumming. I reccomend this video to boys and girls who like sounds, teamwork, motivation, drumming and music!

Do you think practice makes perfect?
This video shows how twenty-five people use team work to create a performance you just can take your eyes off! I would recommend this video because it shows how people can go with the flow, trust each other and use ALOT of teamwork to create awesome music. I think the Top Secret Drummers have worked really hard to preform at least ten flips and turns with their drumming sticks and flags. In Addition My favorite part in this video was the eye opening, Fantastic scene where all of the men nearly walked into each other but it was all planned out!

one coin and a girl will change the sounds of the load noisy city. playing ode to joy one interment at a time and taking pictures and making laughter. as the music give Spain something to talk about and something to listen about.this music about how it flows to your heart and how it touches you in a gentle way. gathers people with two interments and then their comes the whole group playing humbly for them.the music they play and sing will touch your soul at once.my favorite part was when it was beat melody,beat melody and so on.i recommend this video to any one who like bands and any one who want or like to be in a band and also to someone who enjoy musicals.you never know you might like it.(there's a good old saying its always good to try something new because you never know you might like/enjoy it) just like i enjoyed/liked to listen this kind of music over and over again!
